Walz Administration Proud It Found 113 Million Dollar Error After Only A Decade.

Current head of the Department of Human Services Shireen Ghandi stated she is proud of the staff at DHS for find what they call a “coding error” which will cost the taxpayer 113 million dollars!

The “error” was in the billing system of DHS causing reimbursements to be sent to 7 mental health facilities that were not eligible for federal reimbursements. Which will now need to be reimbursed to the federal government following the decade long error.

State Budget Director Ahna Minge claimed “It’s important to note that the amounts paid to the provider were not incorrect, it’s just the split between the state and federal government,”

Though this may not be fraud it still waste and a needless expenditure of 113 million taxpayer dollars. A clear result of state government failures going back a decade.
