Electric Bills in Minnesota Will NOT Skyrocket Due to Tariffs!

Governor Tim Walz lies again! This time stating that the 25% tariffs on electricity imports from Canada will cause electric bills in Minnesota to skyrocket.

Truth is Minnesota (MISO Grid) gets less than 1 percent of its electricity from Canada. Even The Minnesota Star Tribune had to admit that less than 1 percent of our power comes from Canada. With no affect on Minnesotans.

To break it down a little more if of the cost per kilowatt hour was 0.03 cents the 25 percent tariffs would increase the price by 0.0075 cents. That’s less than a penny per kilowatt hour! Does that seem like skyrocketing prices?

Not to us, it’s clear the policies of Governor Walz and DFL party have more of an impact on our finances than these tariffs will.
