This bill forces diversity and equity in the classroom where it should not be needed. Any person who has made a significant enough contribution to society is already taught in school. Regardless of race, sex, disability, or sexuality.

If someone so chooses to learn more in depth on a certain segment of society nothing is currently stopping them. However, government forcing certain segments into the overall base level curriculum only forces more important base knowledge items to be forced out of the lesson plans.

Overall this bill addresses a non-issue. Which would ultimately hurt the ability of students to gain a good base knowledge in social studies.
