Fishing License Sales Hit 5 Year Low

By: Thomas Haler (Minnesota Free State)

Data released Tuesday by the DNR stated that they have sold 805,242 fishing licenses so far this year.  Which is down 41,000 from this time last year.  This is the second lowest number in 19 years, the lowest was in 2013.

This trend is a result of an older generation getting out of the sport, and few young people replacing them.  We need to work to get young people outdoors to help sustain our states greatest traditions.  Nothing creates more happiness than enjoying the outdoors with family.  Whether it be hiking, fishing, or hunting.  The activities teach us to respect life, and promote our traditional values.  These things cannot be achieved by sitting in the basement playing Xbox.

Fishing is a very important industry in Minnesota with an estimated $2.4 billion in sales and provides nearly 35,500 jobs in the state.

Let us know what you think is causing the decline in people fishing?

Keith Ellison Wanted A Separate Country For Blacks

By: Thomas Haler (Minnesota Free State)

Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s Keith Ellison was a law student at the University of Minnesota.  He wrote several articles in the student newspaper  “The Daily Minnesota”.  He using the pen name Keith E. Hakim.

In one of the articles titled “Affirmative Action Does Not Make Up For Past Injustice” Keith promotes the formation of a separate country for blacks.  The following is from the article.

“Finally, blacks would have the option of choosing their own land base or remaining in the United States. Since black people toiled most diligently in the southeastern section of the United States, this land, quite naturally, would be most suitable. That means Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. Blacks, of course, would not be compelled to move to the black state, and, of course, peaceful whites would not be compelled to move away.”

He claimed it was quote a “bargain”, and would rid the whites of the burdens of “black-faced” programs

“This is a bargain.

Whites would be relieved of the burdens of the black-faced but white-dominated social programs. Blacks would employ themselves, teach their own children the truth and control their own neighborhoods. Black-white interaction would be voluntary instead of compelled. No more busing, no more affirmative action and, best of all, no more white guilt. White people could righteously say they have ‘settled their debts with blacks. Urban blacks, long alienated from society by poverty, forced segregation and media-vilification, would no longer strike fear in whites. Think of it, whites could reclaim their cities — without dispossessing anyone.”

He even went on to say the liberals may oppose these reparations.

“Now the liberals may oppose this reparations program because, of course, they justify their existence by championing so-called lost causes.  Others have material interest black exploitation.”

That above quote is actually true.  The left seeks to keep control of all minorities, and keep them on the democratic plantation.  It is obvious that Keith is now playing his part to help keep minorities right where the Democrat Party wants them.  They don’t really want to help them, they just want their votes.

Keith Ellison Blocks The Minnesota Free State On Twitter!

By: Thomas Haler (Minnesota Free State)

The Minnesota Free State just recently joined Tweeter, and has already received it’s first block!  Rep. Keith Ellison and his campaign staff must not like us much!  We were blocked just hours after following him.

It is important to note that we have never tweeted at him or messaged him.  However, we do report on what he says and does.

For example, yesterday we posted a picture from a tweet that Ellison sent out himself in January of this year.

This is one of the reasons they blocked us.  They don’t like the fact that we are showing what he says, and letting the people know where he really stands.  They feel that is a threat.  They know that if his true beliefs are know to the people that it won’t be good for his Attorney General run or the DFL as a whole.

Be sure to follow us Twitter!  Or just let Mr. Keith Ellison know that red wave is coming to Minnesota!  We are okay with either one!

Child’s Charity Lemonade Stand Shut Down For Lack Of Permit

By: Thomas Haler (Minnesota Free State)

In Denver, Colorado a pair of brothers set up a lemonade stand in hopes of raising money for an impoverished boy in Indonesia. However, the boys were shut down early due to their lack of a permit which cost $125 per day.  The boys were set up outside a local art festival.  Which had a lemonade vendor inside selling it at a price of $7 a cup compared to the boys at 2 for $1.  The mother said someone complained about the boy’s stand.  Which got the police involved, it appears that who ever called isn’t a fan of competition.  The mother of the boys is also quoted by CBS 4 in Denver saying that the day wasn’t a complete loss.  They made about $200 before the police arrived.

Country Time Lemonade will now be paying fines and permits for kids lemonade stands.  The company will cover the cost up to $300 for stands that were fined in 2017 or 2018 or for permits bought this year.
